WHAT AREA DO YOU SERVE? We offer a full design to installation service for South-western Ontario including the Greater Toronto Area and the Niagara to London region. Alternatively, you can organize collection and installation by a third party. WHAT INFORMATION DOES ANTHONY CONCRETE DESIGN NEED SO I CAN RECEIVE AN ESTIMATE? We offer an initial consultation visit usually at the client site. This allows us to discuss design requirements with you and offer an estimate for the project. We are also able to provide an estimate if you provide accurate dimensions (length, depth, thickness) of the surfaces required, a drawing of their layout, indicating the position, size and shape of all knockouts / inserts. Include the desired colour, finish, the preferred position of joins between sections. It may be necessary for us to change the layout of the joints in the surfaces. We also require the location of the project and contact details. If you cannot answer all the questions we may still be able to provide a rough estimate but it may need to be altered later. IS YOUR CONCRETE "GREEN"? Yes! We use post-industrial waste in our advanced mix design mix. For every ton of waste recycled to replace cement, one ton of CO2 emissions is saved. We will continue to do research in this area to enhance our green techniques. WILL THE SURFACE STAIN? Concrete is a porous material for which we use a sealer that is highly resistant to staining. However, aim to clean spills as soon as possible. With timely care and maintenance your countertops will remain in excellent condition for many years. HOW DO I CLEAN IT? Our surfaces and products only need to be cleaned with warm soapy water. CAN I SEE SOME SAMPLES? We provide small samples of our 'standard' mix designs. We offer a colour mixing service for one off colours for a fee. Please ask for details. WHAT COLOURS DO YOU OFFER? We have 5 standard colours available as shown here. We can also arrange custom colours which may be mixed to your requirements. Many factors can influence the appearance and colour, including the amount of grinding and polishing and the type of aggregate, sand and cement used. Any samples are to be considered guides only as each hand-crafted piece is unique product. WHAT SIZE CAN YOU MAKE? The maximum 'standard' surface size for each piece is 8ft by 4ft. Our specialty however, is to make larger one-off products and special orders, therefore these limitations do not necessarily apply. Access on site will be a determining factor to proportions, as will consideration of the total weight of the piece.

WHAT EDGES ARE AVAILABLE? Our edges are straight or vertical for a contemporary feel and to enhance the robust appearance of concrete. We can also hand-finish the edge that produces a very uneven but more natural stone appearance. WHAT KIND OF SINK WOULD YOU SUGGEST USING? We recommend our custom built concrete sinks to match your countertop or vanity. Alternatively, under-mounted stainless steel sinks generally look great against the concrete. WHAT SPECIAL FEATURES DO YOU DO? By choosing to use concrete as your surface material you have a huge range of possible ways you can customize your surface. These can include inserts such as fossils, stones, glass, metal rods and many other things. We also offer integral drain boards and recessed cutting boards. The possibilities stretch as far as your imagination. HOW DO I ORGANISE CUT-OUTS FOR SINKS, FAUCETS AND COOKTOPS? We will need an accurate template of the knockout or dimensions, prior to beginning the project. This normally comes with the product when purchased. WILL NORMAL CABINETS SUPPORT THE WEIGHT OF YOUR PRODUCTS? Most cabinets are strong enough, however as there are so many differing levels of material and manufacturing quality we cannot guarantee that they can. The design of the surface will also dictate the thickness and therefore the weight. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE? This really depends on the specifics of the project and the workload we have at the time the order is placed, but as a guide allow between 4-6 weeks from placing the order to delivery. CAN I BE INVOLVED IN OR ADD PERSONAL TOUCHES TO THE DESIGN? Yes, we encourage you to think of alternative ideas and personal items to be used as inserts. That's what makes it fun. WHAT ELSE DO YOU MAKE? We can make sinks, baths, furniture, garden furniture and outdoor kitchens, fire place surrounds and hearths, shelves, table tops, backsplashes, window sills and much more. We’re always open for your project ideas, please just ask us. CAN YOUR PRODUCTS BE USED OUTSIDE? Yes. It is important to indicate that a product is to be used outside as we will alter the mix to diminish the chances of cracking during freezing weather.
